About Me

Hi, I’m Sophie Snyder, the founder of Sophie Cheffy!

My business didn’t start with a plan — it started across the street, baking cupcakes with my childhood best friend, Hal, who has Down syndrome. Those afternoons in his kitchen sparked a love for baking that quietly shaped my life and revealed a gift God was placing on my heart. By the age of ten, I had my first KitchenAid mixer, and by seventh grade I launched @sophie_cheffy, never imagining it would one day grow into a luxury wedding cake business.

What began as simple birthday cakes for neighbors has grown into a refined wedding cake studio serving couples throughout Auburn and across Alabama. Along the way, I’ve been deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve others through this work — teaching cookie decorating classes, supporting the East Alabama Exceptional Foundation, creating more than 150 bride and groom’s cakes, and baking alongside local Zambians during a mission trip.

I believe every celebration is a gift, and it’s an honor to play a small part in moments that matter most. I design custom wedding cakes with a focus on timeless elegance, elevated flavor, and intentional detail. From the first consultation to the final placement, each cake is carefully crafted to feel personal, refined, and truly worthy of the celebration it honors.

Design Process

1. Inquiry
Begin by submitting a wedding inquiry through our website. We’ll review your date, location, and vision to ensure availability and alignment.

2. Consultation
Once confirmed, we’ll schedule a consultation to discuss design inspiration, flavor selections, and the details of your celebration.

3. Custom Design
Using the details from our conversation, we’ll create a custom cake design that reflects your style, wedding aesthetic, and personal story.

4. Invoice & Payment
You’ll receive a detailed invoice outlining your custom design, with the payment being due two weeks before your wedding date. Your date is officially reserved once the $100 non-refundable deposit is received.

5. Creation
In the week leading up to your wedding, your cake is baked from scratch and thoughtfully crafted with care and attention to detail.

6. Delivery & Setup
On your wedding day, we deliver and set up your cake, so it’s placed and ready to be enjoyed.
